UAV Services are becoming an ever increasing opportunity. This is no different for TBEC than it is for any other company. We take pride is offering Environmental drone services, that help shape an ever changing landscape.


We offer many different drone services outside of the Environmental field as well. Services that include Industrial Landscapes and Opportunities, Commercial Buildings and Products, and even Residential photography.

Along with being able to gather the data via our drones, we also have data processing capabilities. LiDAR analysis, spatial analysis, and GIS operations are all key processes that we use to help generate intelligent, people driven science.

Kvichak River Erosion

We were hired to map out river erosion along the Kvichak River. Utilizing our drone’s ability to gather data quickly and accurately, we managed to map an entire section of the Kvichak river and the massive amounts of river erosion.

 

By overlaying the imagery we gathered onto existing map imagery, we can showcase an immediate, up to date visualization of the changes happening. This method helps visualize the impacts in an easier to grasp way.

While drones provide high-resolution, site-specific data through aerial imagery and LiDAR, GIS data collection integrates multiple data sources to create comprehensive, multi-layered spatial analyses.

GIS data collection involves gathering spatial and environmental information using a variety of methods, including ground surveys, satellite imagery, and remote sensing technologies.

Drones excel in capturing real-time, high-detail imagery of specific locations, whereas GIS synthesizes broader datasets—ranging from land use patterns and hydrology to infrastructure networks—allowing for large-scale assessments and predictive modeling.

Chugach Climate Impacts Dashboard

TBEC was tasked with creating an interactive dashboard for the CRRC that assesses the impacts of future climates on the environmental, economic, social, and cultural processes of CRRC communities. The CRRC was hoping to provide its community members with a resource that shows them how their environment is changing and what to expect moving forward so that resource management and community planning may be more informed.


This dashboard was created using ArcGIS Experience Builder and includes maps depicting various environmental variables. These include climate data, water data, and land change data. TBEC gathered algal bloom data, stream gauge data, hardiness zone data, landslide data, among others, to include in this dashboard.

  • Web-based interactive dashboard that:

    • Is visually intuitive and user-friendly

    • Delivers scientific data in an engaging and accessible format

    • Bridges the gap between scientific information and community engagement.
